This year, we’re witnessing a thrilling combination of colours, textures and materials that offer a fresh perspective, the main feature of which is the use of different elements, adopting a playful approach.
Interplay of materials
Materials have taken on a key role, especially in the luxury sector. Truly exclusive looks are obtained by combining a variety of effects, using natural materials such as stone or wood. This contrast pays tribute to the essential nature of the natural element, offering a new take on it and engaging with richer surfaces.

The Mirage collections offer a wide variety of interpretations of natural materials. For example, Gyliane is a new, high-tech take on recycled wood planks, while Norr offers a fresh slant on a traditional stone that is a key feature of emblematic Italian cities such as Milan.
This new approach takes classic looks into the wider international dimension of contemporary architecture, opening up new, versatile application options.
Reflet revitalises living spaces with a skilful interplay of mirror and light effects. This range is the result of a collaboration between Mirage and the architect Andrea Boschetti, who have worked together to rediscover and enhance the use of ceramics in a distinctly decorative, innovative way, opening up new expressive and functional possibilities.
Interplay of shapes and colours
Colours are the emotional language of design, able to evoke our deepest sentiments and memories. Nostalgia is a powerful emotion that has played a significant role in recent years, impacting design and fashion. The return of Sixties and Seventies styles, a nostalgic journey for many, has been in the spotlight for some time now, together with the growing popularity of vintage shopping, spearheaded by an increasingly responsible community and its awareness of our impact on the environment.
This trend is continuing in 2024, with a retro-futuristic approach to style, and graceful shapes reminiscent of the geometries that can be observed in nature.
Technologically advanced objects and materials are associated with a dream-like style, in which warmer, more distinctive tones stand out against neutral backgrounds.
To obtain this result, Glocal, designed in collaboration with Giulio Cappellini, is the perfect choice to bring a pop touch to living spaces, with a wide variety of decor elements and large slabs, for endless composition options.
Interplay of textures
Contemporary design seeks a craftsmanship approach, enhancing flaws as a testament to a historical focus on the product. Once again, the driver is nostalgia for ancient traditions and trades, accompanying us on a voyage of discovery through unique compositions and textures. This is combined with a desire for production processes that may be slower, but are more sustainable.
The search for complex patterns is a celebration of our artistic nature and the pursuit of the key to coexistence with technological process.
Thus, the minimalism of the future leaves scope for smart combinations of different textures, driving us to look deeper. Nagomi embodies this trend perfectly. The collaboration between Atlelier Mirage and Hadi Teherani has yielded five different compositions, inspired by mosaic art and reflecting five natural elements. The collection, shaped by a more elaborate, non-standardised process, places the accent on detail, leaving room for pleasing imperfections.
