Beyond the Boundaries of Tradition: Ceramics Meets Surrealism

As the first major event of 2025, we participated in Maison&Objet, one of the most important exhibitions in the international interior design scene. This year's edition was titled Surreality, celebrating the centenary of the publication of the Surrealist Manifesto.

The theme of Surrealism perfectly reflects our vision: through innovation and continuous research, we explore new possibilities for ceramics, pushing the boundaries of tradition. Our collections play with the interaction of different textures, revolutionizing production methods and creating spaces that stimulate perception, offering a unique sensory experience.

Atelier Mirage: Symbolism, Nature, and Design

At Maison&Objet, the Atelier Mirage collections transformed spaces with a perfect balance of aesthetics and storytelling, reinterpreting surrealist themes through unexpected materials and perceptions. Nagomi, by Hadi Teherani, blends nature and innovation by repurposing glass from cathode-ray tubes of old television screens, turning them into mosaics—a process reminiscent of the surrealist metamorphosis of everyday objects. Indomita, featuring illustrations by Letizia Ballotti, explores the concepts of adaptation and transformation through depictions of wild animals, evoking the idea of transcending reality to enter a visionary world. Reflet, by Andrea Boschetti, plays with mirrored surfaces to amplify perceptions and optical illusions, recalling the deceptive visuals and impossible perspectives of surrealist art. Finally, Plumage, by Alfonso Femia, draws inspiration from the complexity of bird plumage to dissolve the boundaries between spaces, just as surrealism blurs the line between dream and reality. Each collection tells a unique story, offering new perspectives in design.

Shared Visions: Architects and Designers in Dialogue

During the days of Maison&Objet, we created special opportunities to meet with architects and designers, sharing our vision and approach to design. These moments of exchange and inspiration allowed us to explore new perspectives for the future of design together.

A Glimpse into the Future of Design

Our goal is to expand the creative laboratory, a place where diverse ideas come together, giving life to products that seamlessly blend aesthetics and sustainability.

The collections presented at Maison&Objet perfectly embody this vision, telling stories of transformation and adaptation. Ceramics have always been at the heart of our Made in Italy identity, serving as the medium through which we tackle the challenges of the present while anticipating the needs and trends of the future.
