He is the founder and president of Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia (formerly known as 5+1AA), with offices in Genoa, Milan, and Paris. He has won several awards in Italy and abroad, published several essays on the topics of cities and architecture, and is a speaker at international academic conferences.
